The FRZ provides computer performance for almost 6000 students, manages the campus network on the faculty’s area, makes it possible to communicate data to other university sectors and ensures the connection with University’s computation centre.

There are fixed rules and regulations which have to be accepted when using facilities of the FRZ.

The FRZ helps central institutions, as well as institutes and professorships of the Faculty of Economics and Management to acquire hard ware and soft ware, to configure networks and when using IT services and it guarantees internet access. There is WLAN in 80 % of all of the faculty’s rooms.

There are four central computer clusters with 65 computers and several servers which can be used by all students enrolled at the faculty. The clusters are equipped with high-performance computers and ancillary equipment. The considerable range of software including system- and application software guarantees an efficient support to all of the faculty’s programs of study.

The FRZ provides all the necessary IT-resources such as a grid-cluster for the projects named above

Four apprentices are being trained to become an IT-specialist at the FRZ.
